内容简介：

徐若宣是一个12岁的男孩。2008年学校假期，他跟随父母去新西兰游玩。

他不幸遇上雪崩，把他冻结在雪堆里。2044年，由于温室效应，气候暖化，冰山溶解，海水上涨，淹没了平原和很多城市，改变了世界地图。 世界的陆地减少了，小岛增加了。徐若宣冻结在冰块中，冰块随着波浪漂流到一个小岛去。他被一个医生捡回医院，收藏在冷冻室里。

2055年，医生将徐若宣解冻，让徐若宣复活。在这一年，徐若宣的实际年龄已经59岁，生理年龄依旧12岁。

徐若宣在一间小室里醒来，世界已经变了，父母不知所踪。他被困了，自身难保，却还想救别人。徐若宣不是很伟大，而是有点儿自恋。他生性乐观，心中永远有一个“救人英雄帅哥徐若宣”。一旦遇到麻烦，他扪心自问，问心中的英雄，英雄应该怎么做，他就怎么做。

《55年》叙述2055年，徐若宣如何逃离大兰岛，回到故乡不老槟榔去。

The above novel’s main character is “ Xu Ruo Xuan”, aged 12 years old. In the year 2008 during the school holidays, he went on a vacation to New Zealand and unfortunately he was buried under an avalanche of snow.

In the year 2044, due to global warming, changes in climatic conditions and the rising of the ocean waters, a well known scientist happened to stumble upon Ruo Xian’s frozen body and continued to store him until the year 2055. He was finally defrosted, alive but now he is 59 years old but with a mental age of a 12 year old boy! He was aghasted and surprised to find out how much the world has changed.

He went to look for his long lost missing parents and wished to save other as well from danger. He was quite conceited and boastful at times and always thinks of himself as a big hero! This novel describes about his journey from New Zealand back to his homeland- Penang Island!
